Excellent takeout experience at 3 Little Pigs in River North. Especially pleased by the value; prices are excellent considering the portions and quality. I love the attention to detail in the cooking: orange chicken is drizzled with sauce instead of soaked to keep it crispy, and fresh orange wedges are provided to hit it with extra flavor; vegetable fried rice has a hint of smoky flavor from the wok; salt and pepper chicken made with succulent, dark meat and evenly cut, generous slices of jalapeno. We also had the Mongolian vegetables which was a well-sauced tofu and green beans, and the curly fries that were fresh and crispy. I was hesitant to visit due to some negative reviews, but it seems like they've worked out whatever kinks led to past negative experiences. With a local, small business, I think some growing pains are to be expected. But you can't beat food made with love by members of the community. I would recommend ordering direct and picking up if possible so that you're getting the freshest version of these tasty items, although I found the leftovers reheated well the next day. At the River North location, there is no seating yet, so be prepared to take home or eat at a

I’ve been wanting to check out 3 Little Pigs for a while and so glad I finally did (and will be back very soon). They are an awesome addition to the South Loop. We ordered for delivery via Uber eats and everything stayed fresh on its way to us. Ordering takeout can be a hit or miss especially with fried chicken and it maintained its crispiness in transit. We loved all of the sauces we tried, especially the BBQ sauce, which went especially well with the crispy chicken. Their orange sauce was bright and citrusy, and the hot mustard was a great choice to add in with the veggie spring rolls. The flavor of everything was excellent and definitely want to check out the chicken sandwiches and burger next!

It’s been two days and I’m still thinking of the Salt & Pepper Chicken Sandwich. The seasoned batter seemed like a tempura/dredge hybrid, as it was super crunchy while remaining delicate and not masking the chicken, which was plump and juicy. Garlic mayo and blistered jalapeños complimented the seasoning and meat perfectly. This is my new favorite chicken sandwich! Also got to try the shrimp fried rice—excellent flavors, a good number of medium sized shrimp—which I kept going back to despite being full, and I was able to get a few bites of the Char Siu, which had a beautiful glaze, nicely balanced between sweet and savory, that coated the melt-in-your-mouth pork perfectly. Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in town!

This place is so hyped up on every social media channel from TikTok to Instagram, and I was happy to finally try it! It’s a takeout-only Chinese-American restaurant specializing in their BBQ pork and fried chicken offerings. You can place your order for 30 minute pick-up time slots starting at 9:30pm the night before. Based on my experience, though the food was good and the pickup was seamless, I do think it was overall a bit underwhelming and overhyped. My friend and I shared fries and crab rangoons. I got the BBQ chicken sandwich and my friend got the Lemon Pepper Chicken & BBQ Pork combo. The fries were really good: they were crispy and were flavored with a unique and distinctly umami seasoning. The crab rangoons were also great: very crispy exterior paired with an exceptionally creamy cream cheese-y interior. Definitely one of the best crab rangoons I’ve had. The BBQ chicken sandwich was good, but really messy to eat and the bread was pretty smushed. The chicken was well-fried though, and the BBQ sauce— though unevenly and kind of scantily applied— was really delicious and flavorful. The chicken & BBQ pork combo plate was kind of skimpy— based on the photo on the order form,

***Updated on 3/28/2024*** Their new item Chicago Beef sandwich with Chili Oil Giardinara and 'hot pot dip' is the perfect melding of east-meets-midwest fusion food that pairs amazingly together! I actually think I Like it better than a classic Chicago-style Italian Beef dip sandwich! Worth the trip! The spicy chicken sandwich continues to be great, if not better this time (the photo posted shows the chicken sandwich covered in the yummy spicy sauce!) My only ding this time was the saltiness of the lemon pepper chicken and the smaller portion for the combo platter even though I paid extra for more chicken (see photo)...compared to our photos of similar dishes from their old ghost kitchen location, the fried rice and chicken isn't as generous of a portion, especially when I paid for extra chicken. ***Updated on 12/2023*** We decided to go back now that they moved to their new shared kitchen off of wabash in a shared space with Molly's cupcakes. Loved the food! Just as good as when we visited at their ghost kitchen space! The chicken sandwiches were amazing ad always! And this time we decided to try their version orange chicken. The crunchy fried chicken bites that are hi
